ESC forum on long-term economic forecasting
A forum on "Long-term economic forecasting" was organized by the Economic and Social Committee (ESC) in Barcelona on 9-11 June 1995. The event brought together prominent persons interested in long-term socio-economic forecasting and ESC members with a view to identifying the key issues to be explored and devising European strategies tailored as closely as possible to the European citizen. The Forum was structured around four key issues: - Changes in European society; - Citizen participation in the building of Europe; - The future of science, education and training, and technological innovation; - The role of the EU in the world of the third millennium.
