The European Commission, DG XIII, is organizing an information day on 9 October 1995 for the call for proposals concerning the sector on "Telematics for the Integration of Disabled and Elderly People (TIDE)" of the specific programme in the field of telematics applications of common interest. The call will open on 15 September 1995 and close on 15 January 1996. The information day will take place in Brussels at the Lada Building, rue Maurice Charlent, B-1160 Auderghem (near the Beaulieu metro station) and will start at 10 am. In the proposed forthcoming call for proposals, in order to create synergy among partners and have a better impact in the field, there will be a strong emphasis on some large projects, integrating several areas and tasks of the workplan into clusters. This, however, does not exclude the possibility for this call to also cover small stand-along projects. In order to help the partners in grouping around clusters for large projects, potential participants in the forthcoming call are strongly recommended to send an expression of interest to the TIDE office. Part of the information submitted in the expression of interest form, containing contact details and the specific areas of expertise and interest, will be published by the Commission to aid the formation of consortia for the large projects for the call. It is not compulsory to have registered an expression of interest in order to participate in the call for proposals. To receive the registration form in order to participate in the information day and/or to receive the information pack concerning the expression of interest, please send a fax with your name and address to the TIDE office in Brussels: TIDE Office Fax +32-2-2951300 E-mail: tide@dg13.cec.be
