Earlier this month the Commission approved aid to the German Land of Breme for the support of research and development in the area of information and communication technologies. Involving a total appropriation of ECU six million for the period until 1995, the intensity of aid is fixed at a maximum of 25% for applied and up to 50% for basic research.
