TMR programme information available on World Wide Web
Information on the Commission's Training and Mobility of Researchers (TMR) programme may now be accessed through the CORDIS World Wide Web server on the Internet. This information includes calls for proposals, work programmes, information packages on research training grants and accompanying measures. Since the beginning of March 1995, all persons asking for TMR information packages have been requested to consult the information available on the Internet. This has led to an increase in the consultation of TMR programmes on Internet. The CORDIS World Wide Web service is being increasingly used by programme managers to make their programme documents available worldwide. Using the Internet makes it possible to give worldwide access to RTD programme information and considerably reduces the amount of printed information being sent by ordinary mail. The TMR programme also has an electronic mailbox for research training grants. This has been very successful in answering enquiries on all topics related to the grants. Over 500 queries have been answered since the service was introduced at the end of January 1995. Once again, many queries were answered by giving the location of the TMR information package on the World Wide Web.
