The RTD-Partners database now contains details of over 3,585 companies interested in the field of targeted socio-economic research (TSER) and should, therefore, be of particular interest to companies seeking partnerships in this specific research area. The European Commission has received over 4,700 expressions of interest in response to its call for proposals for its specific programme concerning TSER which closed on 8 June 1995. This also included a call for expressions of interest in joining the European Technology Assessment Network (ETAN). In addition, DG XII has recently published a call for expressions of interest to establish a list of persons or organizations to assist the Commission in areas relating to the above European Union TSER programme. This list will be valid for three years from 2 June 1995. The function of the RTD-Partners database is to help companies identify potential partners for participation in European Union-funded programmes. Companies can do this by using the RTD-Partners database to: - Inform potential partners throughout Europe about their organization and their collaboration requirements; - Search for specific partners themselves according to research and development expertise or programmes of mutual interest.
