Following a successful first call for proposals (OJ No C 357 of 15.12.1994) which established the basis of the ACTS programme, the European Commission will be launching a second call for proposals in September 1995. Vertical links bridging gaps between advanced communications trials in ACTS and user communities; . Concerted actions providing specific fora for consensus formation and consolidation of guidelines for the introduction of advanced services; . Secondment of young engineers to work as visiting scientists within ACTS projects and national host organizations outside of their country of origin; - Consolidation of technological work in the areas of: . Cellular television and interactive multimedia environments; . Harmonized control and management in photonic networks; .
