Adoption of the second phase of the PETRA programme (1992- 1994)
The Council adopted, on 22 July 1991, a Commission proposal for a Council Decision concerning the launch of the second phase of the action programme for the vocational qualification of young people and their preparation for adult and working life (PETRA) (COM(90) 467, of 9 November 1990). A total budgetary appropriation of ECU 177.4 is deemed necessary for the three year duration of Phase II, which shall begin on 1 January 1992. This sum also includes ECU 29 million covering the 1991-1992 period.
