In a Decision of 22 June 1995, the European Commission approved 31 proposed measures for Community financing under Council Decision 94/445 (OJ No L 183 of 19.7.94) on inter-administration telematics networks for statistics on the trading of goods between Member States (EDICOM). The proposals form part of the annual work programme drawn up to implement the measures provided for under the Decision, and have received favourable opinions from the Committee on the Statistical Programme of the European Communities and the Committee on Statistics relating to the trading of goods between Member States. The Decision grants approval for Community financing of 14 measures, each of a total value of less than ECU 200,000, to be carried out by the Commission on a centralized basis. One measure exceeding this amount was also approved for a total amount of ECU 800,000. This concerns the development and ongoing maintenance of Comext (the Community's external trade database). The Decision also grants approval for Community financing of 16 measures, each of a total value of less than ECU 200,000, to be carried out by the national statistics authorities of the Member States.
