Climate-smart solutions for climate-resilient aquaculture
From rising temperatures to ocean acidification, climate change poses a significant risk to Europe’s aquaculture-focused regions. To help these regions better understand and mitigate this risk, the ActFast project is mapping climate hazards and using this data to develop a portfolio of climate-smart solutions. These include an early warning system, climate-resilient aquafeeds and species-specific AI monitoring tools, as well as tools for addressing invasive species and disease. Put them together and these solutions provide a much-needed boost to those struggling to adapt to the realities of climate change.
