The European Commission has approved aid awarded by the French authorities to a EUREKA research project for the creation of electronic dictionaries (State aid NN85/95). A maximum of FF 42 million will be awarded to the SEMA Group company for research carried out under the "GENELEX" project. The aim of the research, including companies and universities from several Member States, is to contribute to the creation of multilingual electronic dictionaries. The objective of this international project is to define and develop a linguistic-lexical model common to the languages included in the research and which could, in the future, be extended to other languages.
