Marine Science and Technology programme (MAST III) - Preliminary results of first call for proposals
The first call for proposals for the specific programme for research and technological development, including demonstration, in the field of marine science and technology (MAST III) (Areas A, B, C and Area D.1) was published on 17 January 1995. A total of 287 proposals have been received, of which 46 have been accepted for funding. The total proposed EU contribution to these projects is ECU 75.4 million. The total number of proposals accepted for funding, the total number of proposals received and the proposed EU contribution for each sector are as follows: - A.1. Marine systems research - 13 (91) ECU 19.3 million; - A.2. Extreme marine environment - 14 (24) ECU 14.9 million; - B.1. Coastal and shelf seas research - 7 (45) ECU 11.5 million; - B.2. Coastal engineering and natural defences - 3 (18) ECU 5.2 million; - C.1. Generic technologies - 9 (54) ECU 11 million; - C.2. Advanced systems - 9 (55) ECU 13.5 million. The final results of the call will be published as soon as they become available.
