A call for proposals made by the Joint Research Centre of the European Communities in the framework of the "Projet Pilote de Teledetection Appliquee aux Statistics Agricoles" (employing high resolution satellite imagery in crop-area and yield estimation) relates to Action 4: Rapid estimates of acreages and potential yield at a European scale for 1992-1994 (MARS project, Action 4). Only organizations with 10 or more image-processing staff will capable of undertaking the work, given its technical and operational characteristics. The contract will last for 24 months.
