A new CORDIS focus supplement on the Community's Fourth Framework Programme for research and technological development and demonstration (1994-1988) is now available. This latest supplement (seventh in the series) gives detailed information on the various calls for proposals launched by the specific programmes of the Fourth Framework Programme and of the Euratom Framework Programme, including dates, financial allocation by sector and contact points for each of the specific programmes. This CORDIS focus supplement aims to facilitate participation in the Fourth Framework Programme by giving potential participants a clear overview of how each programme is structured. It presents information on each of the seventeen specific programmes, sixteen under the Fourth Framework Programme and one under the Euratom Framework Programme, which will be implemented through calls for proposals. It also presents information (specific areas covered and the financial amounts allocated) on the three specific programmes, Controlled Thermonuclear Fusion and the two Joint Research Centre programmes, which will not be implemented through calls for proposals. Particular attention has been paid to identifying the specific programmes which have special provision for the involvement of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). The information in the supplement should be used in conjunction with other programme information (work programmes and information packs) provided by each of the specific programmes.
