European Telework Week, 9-16 November 1995, will focus the attention of Europeans everywhere on the opportunities and challenges of telework. The week is centred around three "core" events: - The ACTS second national host conference, "A day in the Information Society", Vienna, 6-10 November 1995; - Telework '95, the second European assembly on telework and new ways of working, Rome, 9-10 November 1995; - Telework '95 Exhibition and Conference, "Tomorrow's Workplace", London, 14-16 November 1995. Around these core events, organizations around Europe are putting together local and specialist events that will benefit from linking into the European Telework Week programme. In this context, Telework Week Online is part of the European support activities that will assist local, regional and national events to gain value and visibility through synergy with European Telework Week as a whole. This online service, available immediately, will: - Provide networked links to the main "on-site" events; - Provide online meeting and discussion points for teleworkers, employers, policy makers and other interested parties; - Create a network of resources to assist the successful implementation of telework; - Provide outstanding opportunities for suppliers of telework-related products and services to reach the rapidly growing European market through sponsorship and tie-in promotion with Telework Week online activities. The aim of Telework Week Online is to develop momentum leading up to European Telework Week and to continue that momentum beyond the week itself.
