The second National Hosts Conference will be held in Vienna, Austria, on 6-10 November 1995 under the title "A day in the information society". The conference is organized within the framework of the European Telework Week and will include a "Proposers' Day" and concertation meeting for the Commission's specific programme in the area of advanced communications technologies and services (ACTS).

Leading representatives from politics and economy will report on and discuss the key-issues related to Europe's role in the evolving global information society. In addition, throughout the event, National Hosts will be present in individual booths to offer in-depth information on how they work and the projects they support.

In addition to the National Hosts Exhibition, existing ACTS projects will be represented by a poster display during the ACTS Proposers' Day. This will offer participants the opportunity to meet with representatives of the various projects and explore opportunities for participation in their work from mid-1996 onwards.

The event will also include televised round table discussions on the themes:

- Competition and regulation in a networked world economy;
- Small businesses thriving or perishing within a global marketplace.

In addition, video conference links are expected to be set up with the Club for Innovative Informatics Projects workshop in Paris on 8 November 1995, and the Telework '95 Conference in Rome on 9 November 1995. This is intended to support mutual participation in some of the discussions planned for each event.
