Europe-wide cooperation on radio frequencies
As certain categories of radiocommunications services are increasingly becoming an essential component of the telecommunications services, the Council of the European Communities adopted on 28 June 1990 a Resolution on the strengthening of the Europe-wide cooperation on radio frequencies, in particular with regard to services with a pan-European dimension. This cooperation has already a start, on European level, with the coordinated approach to frequency allocation for Europe-wide systems, developed by the CEPT. The Council wishes to support further development of the new framework set up by the CEPT, including the setting up of the European Radiocommunications Office.
