Participation in Community's multiannual programme in the field of statistics: Call for expressions of interest
The Statistical Office of the European Communities (Eurostat) has published a call for expressions of interest for participation in a multiannual programme of studies, surveys and services to be carried out in the field of Community statistics. Based on the response to this call, the Commission will draw up a list of companies from which it will invite tenders for services related to the initiative it is introducing in the field of socio-economic analysis of statistical data (either available or to be collected in the medium-term), and in the field of data collection by means of surveys among target populations (households, companies, administrations, etc.). Economico-statistical studies, surveys and services covered by this call will involve the following areas of statistical expertise: - Methodologies; - Classifications and nomenclatures; - Registers and panels; - Economic accounts, balance sheets; - Application of statistical methods to data analysis; - Modern data-collection techniques and technologies; - Information documentation and dissemination; - Computing applications in the statistical field. Specific areas to be covered by the call will include: - Sectoral programmes for the operation of the Single Market: Statistics concerning exchanges of goods among Member States; - Sectoral programmes for the Economic and Monetary Union: statistics concerning national accounts; - The sectoral programmes for the Community and the rest of the world: statistics concerning the European Economic Area; - Sectoral programmes linked to: . The setting up of transEuropean networks; . Statistical dissemination and computing; . Statistical training; . Statistical research.
