Linguistic research and engineering
Following Council Decision 91/353/EEC on the specific programme in the field of Telematic Systems of General Interest (Official Journal No L 192 of 16.7.1991) consortia of organizations eligible to participate in the programme are invited to submit proposals for area 6: Linguistic Research and Engineering (LRE). The aim of the R&D projects carried out within the framework of this area is to develop a basic linguistic technology (Natural Language Processing, NLP) which can be incorporated into a large number of computer applications where natural language is an essential ingredient.Detailed technical background material and information about procedures for submission of proposals are available from: Ref.
