The European Commission, DG VII, has published a call for proposals for research, technological development and demonstration (RTD) projects, including demonstration, under its specific programme in the field of transport.

Organizations eligible to participate in this programme are invited to submit proposals for RTD projects in the following areas:

- Area 1: Strategic research;
- Area 2: Rail transport;
- Area 3: Integrated transport chains;
- Area 4: Air transport;
- Area 5: Urban transport;
- Area 6: Waterborne transport;
- Area 7: Road transport.

Proposals covering the aims of the transport-related research/industry task forces (documentation available on request) which are in line with the content of the present call are particularly encouraged.

The work programme, the information package concerning the procedures to be followed for the submission of proposals and a copy of the model contract to be drawn up for the proposals accepted are available from the Commission on request. A description of work carried out under previous related programmes will also be provided on request.
