Production of on-line and off-line electronic publications
The Office for Official Publications of the European Communities (EurOP) has published a pre-information notice concerning an invitation to tender which it is intending to publish in May 1996. The invitation to tender procedure is expected to result in the conclusion of multiple framework agreements for the production of electronic publications with a view to their dissemination off-line (via electronic means) and/or on-line (via Internet or other networks). The invitation to tender will be divided into three lots as follows: - Lot 1: All services related to the production of electronic publications of the Commission, including: . Design or adaptation of data-management or data-access software (on the basis of data and information provided by the Commission); . Data-processing and page-making with a view to transmission via Internet or other networks; . All other areas covered by Lots 2 and 3; - Lot 2: Design and development for the electronic publications of the Commission: . Sub-lot 2.1: Design and development of scenarios for consulting and accessing data; . Sub-lot 2.2: Design and development of graphical and presentational elements; . Sub-lot 2.3: Design and development of "image" or "video" and audio sequences; . Sub-lot 2.4: Design and development of animated sequences; - Lot 3: Duplicating, either from a master provided by the Commission, or a master to be provided by the contractor, of electronic products on diskette or CD-ROM including, where applicable, the updating of files. The estimated annual value of the contract for the first year is ECU 1 million. The estimated value of the contract over a period of five years is ECU 6.4 million.
