TELEMAN - Robotics and remote systems in hazardous or disordered nuclear environments
The TELEMAN programme (Euratom) for research and training in the field of remote handling in hazardous and disordered nuclear environments came to a close at the end of 1993. The European Commission, DG XII, has now published an information booklet, entitled "Robotics and remote systems in hazardous or disordered nuclear environments", outlining the objectives, scope and results of this five-year programme. In particular, the booklet contains the interim or final results of 16 projects funded under the first call for proposals, published in September 1989, on building block components, sub-systems and environmental tolerance. It also includes the results of five additional projects funded under the second call for proposals in 1992 on the integration and testing of building blocks in research machines.
