The European Commission's Environment Institute of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) has launched an open call for tender for the provision of network services in the field of telematics. The JRC is implementing a telematics-network base consisting of three nodes, which will be located in Ispra (Italy), London and Germany. The object of the current tender is the provision of network services to be selected from the following options: - Frame relay connection; - Leased lines connections; - ATM (asynchronous transfer mode); - Satellite-based connections. The place of delivery of the services is the Joint Research Centre in Ispra, (Environment Institute, ETOMEP Unit), and the London ETOMEP office. The contract will be signed by the Commission for a period of one year, although this period may be extended by an addendum to the contract.
