Under the provisions of Article 60 of the Cooperation Agreement between the EEC and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (OJ No L 41 of 14.2.1983) either Contracting Party may denounce the Agreement by notifying the other Contracting Party. On 25 November 1991, having regard to the Treaty establishing the EEC, to the proposal from the Commission, and to the assent of the European Parliament, the Council adopted Decision 91/602/EEC denouncing said Agreement and all related Protocols and instruments. The Council esteems that the situation prevailing in Yugoslavia no longer permits the Agreement and the related instruments to be upheld.
