Environmental study for an integrated EC product policy

The European Commission, DG XI, has launched an open call to tender for a study relating to an integrated product policy in the environmental field. The objective of the study is to provide an in-depth analysis of national policy measures as well as international developments, with a view to establishing an integrated product policy at EU level. This will be done by undertaking: - An in-depth analysis of national developments with regard to integrated product policy in the environmental field; - An in-depth analysis of international developments with regard to integrated product policy in the environmental field; - Based on the abovementioned analyses, an assessment of the possible elements of an EC integrated product policy; - An assessment of concrete measures which could be taken in the context of an EC integrated product policy. The study must be presented in English and be completed within 14 months from the date on which the contract is signed. Tenderers must be able to show proof of experience in analysing environmental policy measures, as well as specific experience regarding the environmental issues related to products. Candidates must also show proof of specific experience in developing policy measures and in integrated product policy.
