In the framework of its action programme for small and medium-sized enterprises, the Commission invites interested parties to apply to participate in a restricted invitation to tender. It concerns the coordination and implementation of all necessary activities to ensure the management and development of the network of 211 Euro Info Centres. The Commission seeks one or several subcontractors who will provide: - Management of and assistance to the network including assistance necessary for its smooth operation, management of contracts, analysis of legal problems, management of a translation service, budgetary monitoring, logistic support, technical assistance and the maintenance of computer systems; - A network information service comprising all actions necessary to ensure the network is competent as regards the dissemination of information on Community matters, to include identification and placing at the disposal of Euro Info Centres the appropriate Community information by a team of Information Officers, staff training, management of documentation and selection of sources, database monitoring, design and dissemination of promotional tools; - Auditing of the EIC network, auditing of EIC quality level and that of the central structure. Interested parties can tender for parts 1 and/or 2, but part 3 cannot be combined with parts 1 or 2 and the subcontractor selected for this task shall demonstrate that no link exists between it and the companies which have submitted a tender for parts 1 or 2. When applying to participate, candidates must enclose documents which give proof of their financial and technical ability plus a description of the firm's experience at the European level.Requests to participate must be by registered letter, in duplicate, to: Commission of the European Communities Restricted invitation to tender E.I.C.
