The European Commission, DG III, has published a call for expressions of interest for the collection of information, the carrying out of studies and the provision of technical assistance, leading to greater knowledge of problems in relation to the development of Community and global industrial policy. The purpose of this call is to undertake a selection process and draw up a list of service providers who will later be invited to tender for the activities described below. The list resulting from this call will be used exclusively for contracts whose estimated value is inferior to the thresholds prescribed in the relevant "public contracts" directives. The works to be carried out are contingent on political or economic requirements and will cover the following subjects: 1. Completion and operation of the internal market 1.1. EDP and statistical applications, database management in relation to industrial affairs, the completion of the internal market and enterprises 2.9. Specific sectoral studies, in particular on the sunrise industries 2.10. Feasibility studies in the field of trans-European telematics networks between administrations 2.11. Technical back-up and coordination of works (an overview of the industry in particular) 2.12. Analysis of the industrial and technological aspects of Community structural intervention 2.13. Analysis of the industrial situation of certain third countries 2.14. Analysis of certain industrial and technological aspects: 2.14.1. in the PECO countries (countries of Central and Eastern Europe) 2.14.2. in the MED (Mediterranean) countries 2.15. Carrying out of Community pilot experiences in area of trans-European networks between administrations 2.16. Carrying out of pilot projects in the field of industrial cooperation 3.
