Optimization of research and development results
The European Commission, DG XIII, has published an invitation to tender for the selection of research bodies and centres, including the Joint Research Centre, universities or undertakings to provide scientific and technical services to support the Commission in carrying out activities of dissemination and optimization of R&D results in the framework of a competitive approach. In particular, DG XIII/D foresees the provision of scientific and technical services in order to enable the validation, adaptation and technology transfer of the research results and technologies whose intellectual property rights belong to the Community. These services will contribute to the innovation and promotion of methods, techniques and instruments making it possible to overcome the barriers for exploiting research results and technology transfer in certain strategic activity sectors. The tender comprises the following lots: - Lot 101 (Ref. CSA96101): development and provision of a conversion software with graphical user interface for image data; - Lot 102 (Ref. CSA96102): engineering and construction of commercial reactor-permeator for chemically reducing highly tritiated water; - Lot 103 (Ref. CSA96103): direct production of 225-Ac for a-radioimmunotherapy by irradiating 226-Ra in a cyclotron using a proton beam; - Lot 104 (Ref. CSA96104): development and programming of a software for a computerized database on corrosion test data; - Lot 105 (Ref. CSA96105): prototyping of an automated video image-capturing system: . Development of software for the control of the X-Y-Z motion stage, camera framegrabber and lighting; . Development of functionality software; - Lot 106 (Ref. CSA96106): validation of sampling, calibration and measurement procedures for the non-dispersive infra-red (NDIR)-carbon-13 isotopic measurement technique applied to biomedicine; - Lot 107 (Ref. CSA96107): development and supply of 25 prototypes shapes equivalent to brake discs made of long-carbon fibre-reinforced ceramic matrix composite materials; - Lot 108 (Ref. CSA96108): definition, design and prototyping of a device for applying coatings protection on composite components; - Lot 109 (Ref. CSA96109): preparation of standard drums for the calibration of nuclear-waste measuring facilities; - Lot 110 (Ref. CSA96110): information updating, development and promotion marketing for environmental chemicals data and information network databank (ECDIN); - Lot 111 (Ref. CSA96111): reshaping of interface and control software and new design of the information technology system for a device for deformation measurement; - Lot 112 (Ref. CSA96112): optimization of opto-electronic circuit and customization of overall design for a device for deformation measurement; - Lot 113 (Ref. CSA96113): system analysis and network information server development for the publication of scientific data, documentation and software on the Internet; - Lot 114 (Ref. CSA96114): selection and testing of a ligand, conjugation and purification of the radioimmunoconjungate and cytotoxicity testing of the radioimmunocojugate in-vitro; - Lot 115 (Ref. CSA96115): design, development and provision of a scale-down industrial prototype pressure vessel; - Lot 116 (Ref. CSA96116): creation of a physical property database and a downstream containment model for a software package dealing with emergency pressure in chemical plants; - Lot 201 (Ref. CSA96201): adaptations and testing of the Robertino control system to obtain a generalized software control system for industrial robots; - Lot 202 (Ref. CSA96202): validation of the 213-Bi a-radioimmunotherapy for multiple myelomic cancer cells present in the human bone marrow; - Lot 203 (Ref. CSA96203): prototyping and testing of a heat flow sensor system for detection of human intrusion; - Lot 204 (Ref. CSA96204): testing of a single sensing system to measure a differential force change by differential thermal and pressure monitoring; - Lot 205 (Ref. CSA96205): industrialization of advanced adaptive techniques wavelets and fractals compression techniques; - Lot 301 (Ref. CSA96301): identification of a cluster of technologies owned by the Community which may have a major innovative impact on the European enterprises; - Lot 302 (Ref. CSA96302): feasibility study aiming at the mobilization of resources for the utilization of R&D results in the field of the use of biomass as energy source in Soria (Spain); - Lot 303 (Ref. CSA96303): testing available software- based training and management tools introducing advanced innovation management methods to orientate RTD projects more efficiently towards the market; - Lot 304 (Ref. CSA96304): developing and testing "integrative technology assessment" as a management tool to orientate RTD projects. Tenderers may bid for one, several or all of the lots.
