The European Commission, DG X, has launched a restricted call to tender for the design, production and management of a question and answer database on the "euro" single currency. Within the context of its priority information action on the euro, the Commission wishes to create, publish, and continuously update a question and answer database relating to the single currency. The Commission is seeking a contractor to fulfil two general tasks related to this database: - To provide quick translations (supplied within 48 hours of receipt of original text) of questions, answers, subject headings and keywords from the official European Community languages into French, English and German, and from English, French and German into the other official languages; - To design and publish the database. The date envisaged for publishing is February 1997. The task comprises three assignments: . To publish the database on the Internet; . To publish the database in additional formats, such as CD-ROM, diskettes and printed material; . To ensure updating of the database in all formats. The contract will run for one year and may be renewed annually for a maximum total of five years. The Commission will invite those candidates who provide proof of their technical, professional, economic and financial capacity to tender for the contract.
