Forthcoming ESPRIT call for proposals: 16 September 1996
The European Commission, DG III, will issue a call for proposals for the specific RTD programme in the field of information technologies (ESPRIT) on 16 September 1996. The following domains are to be covered by the call (the funding available per domain is in parenthesis): - Software technologies (ST) (ECU 26 million); - Technologies for components and subsystems (TCS) (ECU 70 million): - Multimedia systems (MMS) (ECU 20 million); - Long-term research (LTR) (ECU 25 million); - Open microprocessor systems initiative (OMI) (ECU 25 million); - High-performance computing and networking (HPCN) (ECU 35 million); - Technologies for business processes (TBP) (ECU 25 million); - Integration in manufacturing (IiM) (ECU 28 million). The specific R&D themes and preparatory, support and transfer activities to be carried out under the domains are described in more detail in the ESPRIT work programme.
