The European Commission, DG IB, has published an invitation to tender for the provision of technical assistance for Asian, Latin American and Mediterranean countries.

The tender concerns services relating to short-term contingency actions of an urgent nature to be carried out extra-muros, covering studies, expert advice and technical assistance with specific aims under the Community cooperation and development actions in favour of certain third countries (Asia, Latin America, Mediterranean).

The contract is divided into 21 lots, i.e. seven lots for each of the three geographical areas concerned:

- Lot I: Rural development;
- Lot II: Social development;
- Lot III: Physical infrastructures;
- Lot IV: Environment;
- Lot V: Development of foreign trade and tourism;
- Lot VI: Industrial and corporate development;
- Lot VII: Development of the tertiary sector.
