ECU 24.3 million for steel regions in England
The European Commission has awarded ECU 24.3 million for regeneration projects in steel regions in England under the RESIDER Community initiative. The areas to benefit are in north-east England, Yorkshire and Humberside. The funding will support the creation of new jobs and training provision. In addition, SMEs will be assisted to convert to new areas of business with the introduction of new technologies.
