EUROCARTO XIII - Proceedings of workshop on scale and extent
The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) has published the proceedings of EUROCARTO XIII, a geographic/mapping workshop on scale and extent held at the JRC in Ispra, Italy, on 2-4 October 1995. The EUROCARTO workshops are an informal series, held throughout Europe and focusing on current and potential developments in geographic and mapping applications. The scale and extent workshop covered topics such as GIS applications, large-scale mapping and interpretation, remote sensing and image processing. As well as the geographical topics, the workshop also viewed demonstrations of the new perspectives in information communication by the use of the Internet and World Wide Web for both regional and European analysis.
