The Energy Efficiency Investment Support Scheme, administered by the Irish Energy Centre and funded by the European Community, provides grant assistance to organizations who propose to invest in technically-proven energy conservation technologies or measures. The objective is to reduce energy consumption in Ireland and promote energy efficiency. Projects which may receive support for up to 40% of their costs include: - Implementation of Energy Audit recommendations; - Adoption of energy-efficient technologies; - Stand-alone projects; - Improving overall energy efficiency in buildings. Projects will only be eligible if they are based on recommendations from energy audits, are supported by an appropriate feasibility study or are in response to a call for proposals to implement specific priority technologies.
