Public libraries in the Information Society - Country studies
A study on "Libraries in the Information Society" is being carried out for the European Commission, DG XIII, by a consortium consisting of the Danish Library School, the Danish Library Authority and the Deutsches Bibliotheksinstitut. As part of the project, a number of case studies and country-wide studies are being conducted in Belgium, Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Scandinavia (regional study), Spain and the UK. The study has so far resulted in five case studies and nine country and regional studies. Extracts of country studies for Denmark, Ireland, Portugal and Spain are currently available for consultation on the I'M Europe WWW server. These reflect the highlights of the studies only.
