FAIR - Agriculture and fisheries RTD programme
The European Commission, DG XII, has published a general information brochure outlining the activities of the Community's specific RTD programme in the field of agriculture and fisheries (FAIR). The FAIR programme, part of the Fourth Framework Programme, aims to increase the competitiveness, efficiency and sustainability of agriculture and fisheries and related industrial sectors, as well as promoting rural development. FAIR funds RTD activities in the following areas: - Integrated production and processing chains; - Generic sciences and advanced technologies for nutritious foods; - Scaling-up and processing methods; - Agriculture, forestry and rural development; - Fisheries and aquaculture; - Concertation activities.
