Training and Mobility of Researchers - Recent publications
The Community's specific programme for the training and mobility of researchers (TMR) has published a series of booklets describing the activities and results of research networks funded under the Human Capital and Mobility programme, TMR's predecessor. These include: - The dynamics of membrane protein insertion and folding, Dr. A. Watts (ISBN 92-827-4991-6): This particular multidisciplinary network is made up of eleven laboratories dedicated to biomembrane research. The scientific aim of the network is to describe in detail at the molecular level the mechanisms and processes occurring during cellular and organelle development resulting in membrane formation; - Microfabrication with synchrotron radiation, K. Hesch (ISBN 92-827-4012-9): The authors depict the efforts and progress made in the crucial field of ever increasing miniaturization of electronic and mechanical components using the LIGA technology; - Magnetic molecular materials, D. Gatteschi and O. Kahn: This network of researchers is of special interest to chemistry, solid-state physics, biology, materials science and engineering. The publication describes the investigations into the magnetic properties of molecular compounds and the designing of this new class of materials which did not previously exist.
