The European Commission, DG XII, has launched a call for proposals for ENRICH (European network for research in global change) RTD actions within the specific RTD programmes in the fields of Environment and Climate, and Marine Science and Technology (MAST). Parties are invited to submit proposals for preparatory, accompanying and support measures for ENRICH in the following areas described in the respective work programmes: - Environment and Climate: . Theme 1: Research into the natural environment, environmental quality and global change; . Theme 2: Environmental technologies; . Theme 3: Space techniques applied to environmental monitoring and research; . Theme 4: Human dimensions of environmental change; - Marine Science and Technology (MAST): . Area A: Marine science; . Area B: Strategic marine research; . Area C: Marine technology; . Area D: Supporting initiatives. The initiatives will concern aspects of global climatic change in relation to the aforementioned themes. Potential participants will be able to check, with the Commission services, that their proposal is in accordance with the objectives of the programme and with the eligibility criteria before formally submitting their proposal. This pre-checking service will close on 15 December 1996.
