RETI-NET - Network on Innovation and Technology Transfer in RETI Regions
RETI-NET, the Network of Innovation and Technology Transfer in RETI Regions, was set up in October 1995 by the Association of European Regions of Industrial Technology (RETI). The RETI-NET group is a network of associated regions and local authorities, higher education institutions, innovation centres and technology transfer institutions, and chambers of commerce, organized on a regional basis amongst a number of Objective 1 and Objective 2 regions within the EU. Its purpose is to encourage innovation and technology transfer, particularly through the exchange of good practice amongst its members, and to develop tools which will link innovation and technology transfer strategies to processes of regional and local economic development. It has a particular focus on encouraging innovation and technology transfer amongst SMEs. RETI-NET is a participant in the EPRI-Watch project, funded under the Community's specific RTD programme in the area of Advanced Communications Technologies and Services (ACTS). The first RETI-NET Newsletter was published in September 1996. This newsletter, produced in English only, is expected to be published on a regular basis at intervals of two to three months.
