The Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS), part of the Community's Joint Research Centre, has published an invitation to tender for the provision of services relating to the collection and synthesis of data related to water management in Greece, Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Cyprus and Malta.

The service provider will be required to examine the following areas:

- Water supply (quantity/quality, ground/surface, planned development, leakage rates, etc.);
- Water use (quality/quantity used, efficiency, impact of shortages, wastewater disposal, etc.);
- Water management (institutional aspects, pricing, related sectoral policy, collaboration, etc.).

Provision of these services requires thorough knowledge of, and access to, information sources in target countries, and strong data management capabilities.
