ESPRIT - Pilot action on low-power design
As part of the ESPRIT (specific RTD programme in the field of Information Technologies) programme's Electronic Systems Design (ESD) best practice initiative, a pilot action on low-power design has been launched within the latest ESPRIT call for proposals published on 17 September 1996. The pilot action, which is associated with task 2.7 of the work programme, aims to: - Foster excellence in low-power design skills; - Bring such skills into broad industrial use. It will consist of a coordinated cluster of design experiments comprising RTD, demonstration and best practice. All successful submissions for design experiments should contain at least one industrial user and undertake to share experience with other participants of the action. They will also be required to share experience with third parties. The collation and dissemination of best practice will be assured by an independent coordinator.
