JOULE/THERMIE - 83 demonstration projects selected for funding
A total of 83 projects have been selected for funding following the Commission's call for proposals for demonstration projects in the field of non-nuclear energy, launched in September 1995 under the Community's JOULE/THERMIE programme (OJ No C 240 of 15.9.1995 p. 12). The call covered the following three specific areas of the JOULE/THERMIE programme: - Chapter 2: Rational Use of Energy (RUE); - Chapter 3: Renewable Energy Sources (RES); - Chapter 4: Fossil fuels. Of the 83 projects selected, 15 related to RUE, 41 to RES and 27 to fossil fuels. The total EU contribution to these projects amounts to ECU 87,639,000.
