FAIR programme - 1996 Annex to Work Programme
The European Commission has published a 1996 Annex to the Work Programme for the specific RTD programme in the field of Agriculture and Fisheries (including Agro-industry, food technologies, forestry, aquaculture and rural development) (FAIR). This Annex should be consulted, in conjunction with the Work Programme, by anyone preparing to submit a proposal under the call launched on 17 December 1996 (OJ No C 381 of 17.12.1996 p. 26), and under the specific call for proposals on transmissible spongiform encephalopathies (OJ No C 381 of 17.12.1996 p. 23, and corrigendum - OJ No C 393 of 31.12.1996 p. 32). Changes introduced in the 1996 Annex include: - References to the research/industry task forces, established in 1995; - Further details relating to molecular farming in Area 3.2.1 (Application of biotechnology to food materials); - Additional guidance on the research required for the implementation of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP); - Additions relating to research into animal health, and particularly transmissible spongiform encephalopathies; - Further details relating to research activities conducted through thematic networks and demonstration projects have been added.
