The G7 pilot project "Global Marketplace for SMEs" has established a "Master Plan" for the period 1997-1998. This sets out the planned activities for each of the working groups set up within the context of the European collaboration in the project. These working groups cover the following areas: - Global Information Network (WG 1a); - Identification (WG 1b); - Multilingual and multicultural issues (WG 1c); - Deployment; Needs and priorities of SMEs; Simplification (WG 1d); - Legal, regulatory and security issues(WG 2) - Interoperability (WG 3); - Financial issues (WG 4); - Testbeds and pilots (WG 5). Action plans are being developed for each of the working groups covering the period 1997-1998. These are to be implemented by the working groups, the European Commission, and other actors.
