Using on-site mobile communication

Telecommunication network providers face a multitude of challenges in today's fast changing telecommunications environment. The ever growing customer demands for more and improved services, advanced technology, and clear, reliable performance pose major challenges to network operators. The main objective of this telecommunication project is the real time update of management, planning, coordination and supply of information by all relevant professionals involved in the site management and production. For this reason, a "communications container" that is movable from one site to another has been developed and tested. This system comprises all the necessary hardware and software facilities for setting up a local network that is connectable to public networks. This breakthrough development fully exploits most of the current telecommunication services. It integrates voice services via DECT/GAP technology, data transfer via TCP/IP protocols and design of applications with the aid of WEB technologies. This advancement enables its users to implement the remote delivery of their expertise and perform real time construction site supervision. This means that it provides the platform that supplies powerful monitoring tools for the interconnected networks. Such tools offer significant network management capabilities that enable operators to efficiently test sites so as to verify proper operation and responses to specific faults. The system may be easily adopted by any business sector where people's work location within a unique site is constantly changing. It constitutes a cost effective solution for just-in-time high quality performance, making the design, deployment and maintenance of next generation communication networks an easy task. Due to its unique features, it is anticipated to affect the future developments within the European telecommunication field and help Europe increase its competitive share in the global market.
