The European Commission, DG III, has published an invitation to tender relating to the completion of a survey on the promotion of international industrial cooperation in the European Union. The purpose of the survey is to collect and analyse information on the objectives, policies and programmes (if any) of the public authorities of each of the EU Member States to promote international industrial cooperation. For the purpose of this survey the term "industrial cooperation" covers all forms of cooperation (e.g. subcontracting, production/marketing/R&D partnerships, joint ventures) involving industrial enterprises with their counterparts in other countries. It should be clearly distinguished from broader concepts such as economic cooperation, science and technology cooperation, industrial development and technical assistance, which fall under the frameworks of "cooperation agreements" concluded between governments with limited inputs from business. The tender specifications may be requested from: European Commission DG III - Industry Mr. Sergio Vecchi - DG III/A-2 200 rue de la Loi (SC15 5/129) B-1049 Brussels Tel. +32-2-2968967; Fax +32-2-2969853 Telex: COMEU B 21877 Completed tenders should be sent to the same address.
