Electronics and informatics support for solar energy research
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission has published an invitation to tender for support services in the field of electronics and informatics for the Energy Systems Testing Unit (EST). The EST Unit carries out work in the field of solar energy research. The European Solar Test Laboratory performs calibration and measurements on photovoltaic devices and systems and, at the Outdoor Thermal Test Facility, research is performed on building components. The EST Unit therefore needs a continuous, rapid and professional support service in the fields of electronics and informatics, taking into consideration the fields of interest of the activities of the unit, which are: - Monitoring of photovoltaic and thermal renewable energy systems; - Data collection of experimental work for several projects; - Calibration of photovoltaic devices conforming to standardized procedures; - Reporting of results. The main objective of the work is to provide assistance in the laboratories on electronics and informatics. To carry out this type of work, the EST Unit seeks a multidisciplinary team which will work under the authority of an appointed coordinator responsible for the management of the informatics in the EST Unit and all services necessary for the execution of the work. The contract will be carried out at the JRC in Ispra, Italy, in the buildings and at the test facilities of the EST Unit. The maximum length of the contract will be 60 months.
