MLIS programme - Provision of language resources over electronic networks
The European Commission, DG XIII, has published a call for proposals for the provision of language resources over electronic networks within the framework of the Multilingual Information Society (MLIS) programme. The call relates to action line 1.1 task 1 of the MLIS work programme. The aim of the call is to adapt existing language resources to generally accepted working practices, taking into account recommendations on standards as they have been developed under the Telematics Applications programme, and to make these language resources digitally available and accessible. Resources, in particular corpora, lexicons and terminologies, proposed must be of significantly large scale, of recognized user value, and of interest for language processing and/or for human users. In general, projects will be implemented as shared cost projects, with the Community contribution not exceeding 33% of the total cost of the project.
