Geographical information systems (GIS) in agriculture
The European Commission, DG VI, has published an invitation to tender concerning geographical information systems in the field of agriculture. The tender is for GIS (Geographical Information System) services in order to manage, process and analyse geographical data. These services should be provided for DG VI from the contractor's own technical environment, which should be compatible with DG VI's system based on Arc/Info running in a Sun/UNIX environment. This system and the existing data sets (described in the terms of reference) are available at DG VI for production purposes (data protection, confidentiality and copyright).
