Creation of the Joint Committee on Telecommunications Services
On 30 July 1990 the Commission of the European Communities decided to set up a Joint Committee on Telecommunications Services. This Committee shall assist the Commission in the formulation and implementation of Community policy aimed at improving the economic and competitive positions of the Community's telecommunications sector and improving and harmonizing living and working conditions in the telecommunications sector. The Committee shall consist of 50 members.
