MLIS programme - Enhanced public sector multilingual tools and services
The European Commission, DG XIII, has published a call for expressions of interest concerning advanced language tools in the Community and Member States' public sector, within the framework of the Multilingual Information Society (MLIS) programme. The Commission is inviting expressions of interest for participation in cooperative projects for enhanced multilingual tools and services in the European public sector. This call relates to action line 3.2 of the MLIS workplan. In the domain of multilingualism within the European public sector, cooperative multilingual projects will enable participants to share experience and initial resources with the Commission in adapting and exploiting information technology-based multilingual tools (machine translation, translation memories, terminological databases, etc.). Concrete projects will group applications with similar needs into clustered cooperative start-up actions for multilingual aids. Details are elaborated in an information package for applicants that can be obtained from the Commission.
